Olde Kent Quilters Guild is located in Maryland Eastern Shore. They wanted to publicize their group to recruit members and announce monthly programs and workshops, community outreach, shows and exhibits, special interest bees, retreats, road trips and shop hops.

D-Environmental, LLC is an Environmental, Health, Safety, Sustainability, and Security (EHS & SSS) management consulting firm that specializes in environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance assistance, waste management, environmental audits, industrial hygiene, remediation services, quality system regulation and compliance audits in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Market business to both Mid-Atlantic area and African nations.

Web Design Projects of 2022

I enjoy building websites for any kind of business, from Contractors to Lawyers and every category in between! Here are some of the websites I’ve created in 2022 for small businesses, non-profit organizations and home-businesses for clients in the Delaware area. Some customers find me online by searching for “web designer in wilmington” and similar Google searches. Others are referrals from my happy clients.

Presto Pizza

Kennett Square, Chester County pizzeria and Italian restaurant Presto Pizza needed to reduce it’s web hosting cost, so Webmaster Ray created the site and improved it with Google Reviews, full menu, and added a Specials page. The owner will now be able to more easily make edits to have current prices and events listed at all times.

Presto Pizza offers “Pizza and Italian Food for Takeout or Delivery in Kennett Square also serves Pasta, Seafood, Chicken, Steak, Wraps. Here we use the freshest ingredients along with the great Italian skills of past generations! We have loyal staff members that are here and ready to make you happy and satisfied!”

Your Bar Exam Tutor

Your Bar Exam Tutor offers training to help people pass the state Bar and associated exams to practice law. This was a re-design of an old non-mobile site that was also missing an SSL Certificate. Of course, Webmaster Ray added search engine optimization to rank higher and we created a Client Reviews page to motivate visitors to request info. Serving all of USA from Wilmington, DE.

Home page notes, “We provide one-on-one, email, phone, or Zoom bar exam tutoring services for students who want a specialized program designed around their specific needs. Not only do we work with first time bar takers, we also provide tutoring for students who are re-taking the bar exam.”

70 West Main

This new retail store needed eCommerce to sell furniture online. 70 West Main is located in Penns Grove, New Jersey but ships throughout the USA. We helped them set up a payment gateway for their existing merchant services account and used the popular WooCommerce WordPress plugin. Besides uploading photo, price and description of each item, training was provided via Zoom for staff to add future items themselves. We included Facebook and Instagram links to help them spread the word!

The website announces: “Discover perfect furniture for your home or office!
70 West Main offers new, handcrafted items that are of exceptional quality. We also have reclaimed and repurposed furniture, as well as architectural salvage items.”

Delaware Automobile and Truck Dealers’ Association, Inc.

DATDA needed to upgrade it’s existing website and make it mobile-friendly so they can help car buyers locate member dealerships around the state. The new site better promotes the members with a more attractive and easier to use online portal.

The home page notes: “DATDA’s new car and truck dealers are selling/servicing the latest in electric vehicles(EV’s), hybrids, and fuel-powered vehicles from the most trusted manufacturers. We know that purchasing a new vehicle is a major decision for consumers. There are distinct differences between new-franchised dealers and non-franchised dealers. New car and truck dealers have franchise laws that protect and benefit consumers.”

PA BOYS BBQ

PA BOYS BBQ is a new food truck business in Chester, York and Lancaster Counties, Pennsylvania. It includes a catering menu and events calendar page to give their location each day. A slideshow of delicious food photos captures attention so visitors can learn what they sell and where to find it. A Customer Reviews page links to the owner’s Google Business Profile to attract more diners.

Home page explains: “Mobile food truck & catering company offering BBQ style foods smoked at low temperatures. Menu includes Smoked Pulled Pork, BBQ Chicken, Pork Spareribs, Triple Smoked Mac N Cheese,
Smoked Chicken Egg Rolls and Smoked Corn on the Cob.”

Ed Stanley Contracting

Ed Stanley Contracting asked Webmaster Ray to improve their website while lowering the hosting cost and providing timely edits to the website. We constructed 2 websites. One for general contracting and one for their paving & sealcoating business. Each included attractive photos, customer reviews, and a contact form for free estimates. Serving Delaware, Pennsylvania and NJ.

As a bonus, we included this text in copyright area to improve SEO: “Ed Stanley Contracting provides residential and commercial seal coating, chip sealing, hot rubber crack filling, grading & stone work and blacktop repairs in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.”

American Transport Systems

American Transport Systems is a trucking company that needed an upgraded website to reach out to prospects with better content. The home page quickly highlights their specialties and explains where and how they solve shipping problems. A “call now” button is always visible on mobile for easy contact. Headquartered in New Castle, Delaware.

They explain: “With over 35 years of experience we bring specialized services to all your transportation needs with smooth, cost effective and reliable transport of general commodities, over dimensional and overweight loads, as well as other types of freight, domestically and internationally.”

Share Your Message: Be Different

“Fortune favors the brave.” is the slogan for a recent Matt Damon TV commercial for crypto. That mentality is necessary to stand out from the crowd of your competitors in whatever business or non-profit cause you are advertising. Think about Super Bowl commercials that have 30 seconds to make a memorable impression.

Brainstorm – consider any idea, even if “crazy” – don’t be afraid
Self Promotion includes bragging about what is special about you / your business
Be Creative & Improvise – don’t just put out the typical stale message your prospects expect
Be Original – Be Different – seek an emotional response from your message with humor or inspiration
Be Courageous and think outside the box without fear of looking silly. Sex sells, but “silly” can sell too!
Make a Statement by showing that you’re serious about solving your prospect’s problem and that you care about them.

Marketing Tools That Get Results

Here’s a list of tools I’ve employed in my super duper help Ray find a woman initiative and that I offer my clients to sell their widgets and promote their services:

Marketing Video – Embed YouTube videos on your site to grab attention, demonstrate products or publicize customer testimonials. Webmaster Ray can create a 30-60 second marketing video for use on your website, facebook, linkedin, twitter and even your email newsletter.
Landing Page – Convert your AdWords PPC & Facebook Ads at a better rate!
It’s important to leverage your advertising dollars to improve results. The home page of your website presents an overall introduction to your business and all of your different services or product lines. This can distract your prospect’s focus, so build a targeted page with call to action so that they will find what they seek.

Email Marketing – Turn leads into customers into repeat customers by adding to your email list to send news & specials or even a periodic newsletter.
Flyers & Mail Campaigns – even an old fashioned printed flyer can be distributed and bring results. Or use direct mail to send your physical brochure. Make it cool by simple adding a QR code so prospects can immediately use their mobile phone to see the details!
