Do I need to hire a “local” web site designer?
We create web sites for clients who are local as well as out of state. By using the Internet, email and the telephone, it’s possible to communicate effectively with clients anywhere in the USA.

How much will my web site cost?
Several factors will affect the ultimate cost of your web site. These factors include the number of pages, if you will sell products online, the graphic work involved, and how interactive your web site will be. The good news is that we can do it at a low cost. You will also need Domain Registration and Web Hosting.

How long does it take to have a web site designed?
The time frame is determined by the size of your web site, the complexity of your site design, and our current client design schedule. We can have a basic version of your site online within a week.

What is a URL?
A “Universal Resource Locator” is the address typed in to view your web page on the Internet.
For example, you would type in https://www.attractweb.com to access our home page. AKA “web address”.

What is a domain name?
A domain name is a specific web site address that you choose and register with a registrar such as
GoDaddy.com, Register.com or Network Solutions. But Attraction Domains gives better
prices than all of them! Domain names end in .com, .edu, .biz .gov and more.

What is web hosting?
Web hosting is a yearly or monthly fee that you pay to have your site accessible on the Internet. We can arrange hosting for you.

I am currently hosted with Host X. Can I switch to a different host to save money?
Just contact us and we’ll check to see if it will benefit you. Email us and we will take care of everything. We can transfer your domain name along with all of your existing web site content.

Can I use Attraction LLC to design my site but choose my own web host?

What is site maintenance?
Maintenance is a fee paid monthly, quarterly, or on an “as needed” basis to keep your site updated with new content that you provide.
Good web sites have new content updated regularly. Fresh content keeps your visitors coming back!

Do you offer any type of discounts?
Yes, we offer discounts for non profit organizations and NCCCC members (New Castle County Chamber of Commerce. We’ll also enroll you in our Customer Loyalty Program so you’ll earn cash back on every invoice!

Why can’t I find my web site in the search engines?
Once your site has been submitted to the top Search Engines they may require several weeks, or even months to actually spider and list your web site in their directory. For a fee, you can use various Guaranteed Search Engine Submit services.

What size screen resolution do you design your websites for?
All of our new websites are built on the WordPress platform, which is compatible with all different browsers (Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.), all screen resolutions, and responsive to display properly on all mobile devices.

How do people find my site?

  1. List your site URL on your business stationery, cards, brochures and advertising
  2. Submit your site to the search engines. Most good designers will do this as part of the web site development process.
  3. Create social media accounts to drive traffic from facebook, google+, twitter & more.
  4. Create YouTube videos to generate interest.

BLOG: Web Log. Web space where an individual can post running commentary on a particular theme or related subjects. Often used to generate traffic to a website or to market affiliated products. more info

Clipart: There are a multitude of sites where you may purchase images (both graphics and photos) for your website. In some cases, you can acquire free images. Find your own or let me know the type of images you’d like and I can locate them in Attraction’s library or at one of these sites.

Copywriter: A person or business that can help you create the best possible website content or advertising copy. If you need assistance, we can recommend an excellent Copywriter!.

Counter: A device used to visually display the total number of visitors to your web site. —We’ll install one with statistics!

Database: It may be helpful for your site to include a database of information which can be changed regularly. Examples could be featured items or services you are promoting or a list of people for an organization’s site. Using PHP or ASP, we can install a database for you to easily make changes to your site at any time, as often as you like!

Description: A short paragraph describing a web site. It is used by search engines to show the content of a web site. —We ask you to provide a short description of each page of your website.

Directory: Web site containing links organized in categories and subcategories. Links are manually checked and approved before being added to the index. —We’ll submit your site to major directories which do not charge for it, such as Open Directory (DMOZ) and World Site Index.     TOP 

Domain Name Registration: Register the official name of your site. You then ‘own’ that name for the next year until you re-register it. Example: www.yourname.com. — We can help you register or transfer registration for no additional charge. Or just click this GoDaddy link for the

Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce): Allows Website customers to sell products and services online and accept payment at the same time.—Of course, we’ll be happy to assist with your Shopping Cart.

Email Accounts: The number of email accounts you are able to set up on your domain. Be sure to get enough with your package. Purchasing them separately later can be expensive. —We’ll only set you up with a host which offers plenty of accounts. TOP 

Flash: Macromedia Flash movie or animation to add movement or high tech look to site. Program used to create movie with graphics and photos.

Forms: MailForms allow you to collect data submitted by visitors to your site. —We will build one or more forms, as applicable to your site.

Graphic Artist / Logo Design: If you’re in need of graphic desing work of any kind, we have several associates that can assist you. Logo, Brochure, Business Cards, Newsletters…. whatever you require.  

Hosting Provider: A Web host provides Web space to companies or individuals, usually for money. more info

Inbound links: Links pointing to a your website from outside locations. This number is used by search engines to measure the importance of a website. —We can advise you on exchanging links or submitting your link to topical directories.  

ISP: Internet Service Provider (see Dial-Up access). An ISP is a service provider who creates the connection from your home or office to the Internet.

Keywords: A word or phrase typed in a search engine’s search box. Keywords are words related to a certain subject, that are relevant to or describe the information the user is searching. —With your help, we can ensure that your site contains appropriate words to attract visitors.  

Link exchange: Means that two web sites link to each other based on mutual agreement. —Again, we can assist and help you prepare a program to boost your Search Enginge ranking.  

Meta tags: A special HTML code sequence used to help search engines gather information on that particular web page. —We will use these in conjunction with ‘keywords’ to make your site more visible.

Optimization: The process of creating or modifying a web page to rank well in search engines or to load faster due to smaller file size. —We aim to maximize the efficiency of your site.>

Outbound links: Your visitors may appreciate links to other sites that will enhance the information or service you provide. —We will include these at your direction.  

Pay Per Click (PPC): Method to increase traffic by paying for clicks by bidding for particular keywords or search phrases to display as “Sponsored Listings” at Google or Yahoo. more info…

Search Engine: An index of web sites. It searches through a database containing thousands of links. The sites are sorted by the “engine” in order of relevance for the keyword under which someone makes a search. TOP

Search engine submission: Process of submitting a web site to search engines. If done manually it can take longer than with automated submission software but it’s more effective. —We will manually submit your site address and description to the major engines who don’t charge for it.

Search Engine Marketing (SEM): Methods to increase traffic by paying for clicks, either as PPC “Sponsored Listings” at Google or Yahoo or submitting to paid directories. more info…
