SEO: Include Your Location in Page Titles
With the number of websites in every industry increasing dramatically, help your site rank higher in Google for your target customers. If you run a school or store, don't compete with the whole world when only people in Delaware are searching for you. Instead of "Running Shoe Store", make your title "Running Shoe Store in Wilmington Delaware" and you won't be competing with stores throughout the country! This is a critical element that is often ignored (even by some professional web designers).
Unless your potential customers are everywhere, include your city, town, or even street name since people realize that they want to limit results to their specific area.

Web Terms
"PPC" and "Banner Ads" are the most commonly used forms of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) - which is paid advertising. As more websites compete for top organic or natural Google rank, it can be worthwhile to use pay-per-click or Sponsored Ads to appear on the first page or two of directory results. Another benefit is that your ad starts appearing immediately, so a new site doesn't have to wait weeks for regular SEO techniques to bring traffic.
Google Adwords PPC: Attraction now offers an amazingly affordable PPC program! Contact me to start generating more visitors. You provide a few keywords and I will refine them to bring the most qualified traffic from areas that you select.

FREE Marketing Tool: Add Yourself To Top Directories
Websites I design are submitted manually to directories such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, DMOZ and others. You will increase traffic by adding yourself to as many as possible. Inbound links push you higher in search engines, besides visitors locating you in the same search engines. If you are not already listed, I urge you to invest just 2 hours in adding yourself to these ones at no cost: (Tip: include as much description as you are allowed)

Add Video For Greater Impact
Bring their site to life by including video. Upload it to YouTube for twice the impact and I'll embed it directly onto your Home or About page.

You can take the video with a simple digital camera or call me for an excellent (and low priced) photographer that I've worked with for years.
Social Networking
Once you start your organization's Facebook page or Twitter account, send me the link and I can add a button anywhere on your site. It's a great way to interact with customers and allows you to easily upload photos and make announcements. I promise to "like" you.
Website-Related Scams: Be Vigilant
If you ever receive a letter in the mail from "Domain Registry Service of America, ignore it. They send a notice that looks like a bill to try to make you transfer registration to their more expensive company. Contact me about any correspondence related to the web and I'll give you free advice.
Marathon Man Strikes Again
Sitting behind a desk or in front of a computer screen all day can be bad for both physical and mental health. Try to put at least 20 minutes of exercise into your daily schedule. Walking or jogging is good for you.

A few weeks ago I ran the "Marine Corps Historic Half" (13.1 miles). 6,000 participants including Drew Carey.
Check out my recap and photos. I was happy to finish 10th out of 400 in my age group! If you're in the Wilmington area, you have an open invitation to come to a group run with my friends any Wednesday or Thurs at 6pm (to run, jog or walk).
