Lackawack Lumber mills trees taken down on the Farm with Woodmizer portable saw mill. Hemlock, Maple, Cherry and Pine trees are selected and cut down with chainsaws. After branches are removed, they are dragged out of the forest by the tractor and staged at the mill.

Renovating the 200 year old barn from the ground up would become the largest project in Farm history. A concrete foundation and floor would be poured and trees would be logged and milled into posts as large as 16x14 inches. Eventually, new 2" hemlock flooring would replace the original sagging and broken planks.
