Alohaaa..loving life in San Diego. I remarried two years ago to a wonderful woman named Sandy. We are enjoying our golf club and pursuing wines to our tastings. I still keep in touch with Don Towne, John & Bob Grimaldi, Brian Krenzien, and Ed Fairbairn. I have been flying for United since 1997 and got recalled to Active Duty in Febuary 2003 with the US Coast Guard for 2 years to coordinate the military outloads and implement the Maritime Security Act.

Ed Fairbairn

fairbairn8@comcast.net

I would not call it exciting but I'm living in Woodbridge VA with Mary and our 2 boys, Steven and Tommy. After 20 years as a Navy Nuke, I could not decide what to do after an active duty retirement, so I did not retire and came up to DC to work in the Standard Missile Program. However, starting in October, I am being pulled away to support the Navy Evaluation Team for Base Re-alignments and Closures for the next two years. The good news is we won't have to move for a while. We're looking forward to seeing '83 classmates again. Class note: Woodbridge is in Prince William County - our Chairman of the Board of Supervisors is Sean Connaughton who's running for re-election this year.

Enjoying my life, nothing too exciting, I have been working for the government for 21 years and also have 21 years in the Naval Reserve. I see a few of my class mates, mostly my sea partner Bob Grimaldi. I am interested in a 25th reunion. Our hobbies include lots of snow skiing, water skiing, boating, and cruising. I plan to get one of the first NJ KP plates for my car. My plate number will be KP 1085.

Bill Kraynik

Position: NAVSEA PHILADELPHIA, Project Engineer

kraynikba@comcast.net

It's hard to believe 20 years has gone by already, I think Plebe Year felt longer. The good part is that I now have 20 years of Government service to my credit, working in Philadelphia, and you know how they awarded me for all those years, they moved me into a new section with a new Supervisor (who acts like a drill instructor and has a funny first name) - "Bumper" Kunkle; even worse, our Branch Head is this over-demanding, slave driver - Tom Bodman. If I wasn't married to my wonderful wife Dorothy and didn't have two precious little gems (John, 8 and Amanda, 5), I'd even consider going back to sailing on that old Lyke's Lines, turtle, bull and grain hauling, Merchant that was my first sea year ship to Africa, that only carried food for half the trip. Actually, the post-graduation years have been great. I can't seem to remember too much about things that happened beyond 11 years ago, but that's when I met my wife and she ruined, I mean, changed my lifestyle. There seems to be a lot of names missing from the list of people attending, I'll try to touch base with anyone I have phone numbers for and see if they plan to attend. *see photo below*

Bumper Kunkle

Position: NAVSEA, Philadelphia - Training and Metricks Sect.

ajkunkle@comcast.net

Frank Liantonio

Position: Adams and Reese, LLP, Partner

liantoniofv@arlaw.com

Been a lawyer since 1988 with the same firm in NOLA, a long way from FLID land. Married 13 years to Kim. Two daughters, Marissa, 11, and Gianna, 8. Assuming I can stay healthy, I plan to play in the alumni soccer game, which should be entertaining for all. Celebrated 20th at dinner with Quern, McAloon, Boudiette, and Larsen in the French Quarter. Maturity is still not our collective strong suit.

Craig Matteson

Position: President - Matteson & Associates

cematteson@juno.com

Gotta love that song! Nice website, many thanks to whoever put it together. Started laughing when the song played and my youngest (Audrey 10) wanted to know what was so funny! Needless to say it brought back many memories. Micki and I have now been married for 17 years. Two daughters, Rachel 14 soon to be 15 and Audrey 10. Just sold our home that we built in 1990 and am slowly migrating to our lake property in Indiana. Will reside in Illinois for another year and then officially make it so. Things are well and we can't complain. We were planning on attending but NIPSCO, local power company at the lake decided to lower the lake for repairs on the hydros for the dam - needless to say it is an opportunity to clean the waterfront without the water. Happens once every 10 years. Have a great time and we'll catch you on the rebound.

Skip McAloon

Position: Gieger Laborde and Laperouse

lmcaloon@glllaw.com

Been practicing law in New Orleans since 1988. (Anyone who gets down this way should call if they are looking for a beer drinking partner.) Handle mostly aviation disasters and maritime cases. Married for 10 plus years to my wife Sam. I work in the same building as Frank Liantonio so I see him the most and Quern every once in a while. Looking forward to seeing some old faces at the reunion.

Maureen McKeever

Position: EchoStar /DISH Network - Training Supervisor

maureen.mckeever@echostar.com

It was great seeing so many of you at the Reunion last week! I am in Pittsburgh, single, working hard in a Customer Service Center for DISH Network (if you still have cable, try a DISH!).

As for my life since KP, I worked in the Dean's Office for 8 months after graduation, got an MBA from Pitt, taught Nautical Science at Texas Maritime in Galveston for 3 years (including sailing on their 1944 Training Ship the Texas Clipper)then sailed as 3/M for Keystone for about a year on crude oil tankers. I moved back to Pittsburgh in 1990, worked in retail for a bit, then got a job with DISH Network 5 years ago (just after the last reunion). For the first time I can say "I love my job"! Hectic, always changing, but the best people to work with. Now I have to work on my life outside of work....
